January 18, 2010 - Music Teacher Search Upgraded

Music Teacher Listings can now be updated by Members

As of January 18, when you log into your Member Profile on the Local's Members' Only site, you will see a new link at the top of the page for Music Teacher Profile. This link allows you to update your own Music Teacher Listings and post them directly to the AFM1.org Music Teacher Search pages.

We have added extra fields for more detailed information, so anyone who sent in a Music Teacher Listing prior to Jan 18, should login to the Members' Only website and complete their profile.

Here is how to use the new Music Teach Profile Screen:

  1. Once you click on the link, you will be taken to a screen showing a blank form for the Music Teacher Profile.
  2. To add a new Profile to the website, just complete the blank form and submit.
  3. If you have a Profile currently posted on the website, you will see a link at the bottom of the page. Click on the link to display your current profile and edit the information. Click submit to post any changes. Once you submit your changes, information will post immediately to the website.
  4. Important Change! Each profile will only be shown under one instrument/lesson category. If you wish to appear under multiple categories, you will need to complete multiple profiles. Use the blank form, but change instrument before you submit. You should see a link appear at the bottom of the page for each instrument profile submitted.

How to Access the Members' Only Site:

On December 1, 2009 you should have received an email from webcontacts@afm1.org with your user name and temporary password. This is the login information you will need to access the Members' Only site for the first time.

The first time you login, you will be immediately asked to change your password. Change it to something you can remember. AFM1.org does not know your password. If you were to loose your password, you can use the "Forgot Password" link on the Member Login page to initiate a reset or call Lynn Scott at the Local No. 1 main office to initiate a reset. Lynn will not be able to tell you what your password is, she will only be able to intiate a reset.

I did not receive my login:

If you have not received an email from webcontacts@afm1.org with your login, send us an email at webcontacts@afm1.org or contact Ron Aufmann or Lynn Scott to receive your initial temporary login.

What if I don't have an email address?

You will need to contact Ron Aufmann or Lynn Scott to receive your initial temporary login.
